The Story
53 Group was founded in May 2020 by Damilola Atere. The idea was simple - build a group of companies around the things that matter to Lagos life: good food, great events, real community.
What started as an idea became Touchline, then DaChef, then Club 53. Each brand built from scratch, each one serving a different side of the same Lagos audience.
This is not a conglomerate. It is a portfolio built with intent.
The Vision

53 Group operates as a multi-brand group because Lagos is multi-dimensional. The same person who turns up to a Touchline football tournament might want DaChef to cater their birthday. They might be at Club 53 the same December.
They are the same person - and 53 Group is built for all of them.

The Name
Why 53?
53 is not an acronym. It is a number with meaning to the founder. Some things do not need to be explained.
